In relation to the armed conflict in the Amara region, 16 defendants in prison, including Johannes Buyalu and Christian Tadlen, out of 52 accused of terrorism in the case of Enatto Johannes Buyalu will appear in court today (Wednesday, June 12) to hear the 2016 court decision on their bail requests and objections. They are on trial.
Lawyer and legal adviser Salomon Kelehe said the defendants’ lawyers and prosecutors heard their statements at the May 29 hearing of the Federal High Court, Anti-Terrorism and Constitutional Court Birth Chamber and denied bail today.
On the other hand, nine prisoners who were granted bail, including the EHP chairman, have not been released since yesterday, Monday.
Police have again asked for more time to investigate the case of 20 people, including artist Emmanuel Habtamun and theatre producer II Faisa.
