Jane Kasuubo, mother of late singer Mowzey Radio, has publicly appealed for financial assistance. She wants 350 million Ugandan shillings to purchase the land leading to her son’s grave at Kagga, Nakawuka, Wakiso District.
Mrs Kasubo has been in negotiations with the current landowners, some of whom have agreed to sell her parts of the land. However, the owner of the largest portion is demanding 350 million Ugandan shillings.
To fight for the land, she contacted Eddy Kenzo, the leader of the Uganda National Musicians’ Union (UNMF), but although Kenzo made some promises, they have yet to materialize.
She said she had to clear the money by Friday because proceeds from Weasel’s concert would be shared.
