American Biker Movies is a fringe genre that broke through to the American mainstream with The Wild One in 1953. In an early scene of Biker, we see Johnny (Tom Hardy) sitting in front of a television screen studying the iconic gang leader played by Marlon Brando.

He wanted to start his own cycling club, and Brando had just given him an epiphanic experience.
