Rabat, August 29 (Xinhua) — Moroccan Minister of Transport and Logistics Mohamed Abdeljalil and Senegalese Minister of Transport Malik Ndiaye met in Rabat on the 29th to promote transportation cooperation between the two sides.
During the meeting, the two ministers stressed their shared commitment to deepening cooperation, particularly in the railway sector.
Speaking to reporters, Abdul Jalil said the two countries agreed to strengthen communication to achieve a higher level of cooperation, especially in railway development.
Ndiaye said the visit was an opportunity to observe and learn from Morocco’s “high-quality” achievements in urban and intercity transport, especially in the railway sector.
According to Morocco’s official news agency MAP, after the meeting, the Moroccan National Railways signed an agreement with the Senegalese National Regional Express Train Heritage Management Company, which also signed an agreement with the Moroccan Railway Training Institute.
