The Constitutional Court has received more than 7,000 citizen petitions since last year. The fact that residents are turning to the institution to protect their rights could be an indicator of trust.

This was announced at the international scientific and practical conference held in the capital. In addition to Kazakh experts, lawyers and scientists from Germany, Finland, Switzerland, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan also participated in the conference. The conference discussed the issue of improving the Constitutional Court. “In order to build a just society, justice must also conform to this principle,” said a parliamentary representative who participated in the event.

Unzila Shapak, member of the lower house of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan:

– If you notice now, most of the decisions of the Constitutional Court are close to the people. He prioritizes the rights of the people. Therefore, the report of the Constitutional Court judges that is being discussed now, as well as the decisions of the Constitutional Court, all mention the values ​​of human rights.

Marat Bashimov, deputy of Mazhilis in the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan:

– We are making a constitution for the people. For equality and justice. May there be a fairness in the society. The government itself should be just. This is what an ordinary citizen needs. Implementing the principle of justice should be put first.
