More than 68% of Kazakhs believe that the country is moving in the right direction. The Kazakh Presidential Institute for Strategic Studies conducted a special survey. When asked how the material situation has changed in recent years, a quarter of people said that there has been a significant improvement. 31% said that the family’s economic situation has improved, another 31% have not changed, and 6% chose the option that most things have become worse. 2% believe that the situation has deteriorated significantly. As for how the social situation will change in a year, about 38% of the people said that their living conditions will improve significantly. More than 30% still expect a recovery. The study showed that 18% of people believe that the social situation will remain stable, while 1% believe that the social situation will deteriorate significantly. Citizens over the age of 18 in 17 regions and large cities participated in the survey.
Gulnaz Kasimova, chief expert of the Department of Public Opinion Control under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan:
– The 30% increase in the average salary of doctors and the 20% increase in the salary of middle-aged medical staff are considered positive changes. In addition, the increase in the amount of pensions, allowances and scholarships for college students, masters and doctoral students is also directly affected. Due to other measures taken by the state, the material conditions of Kazakhs are improving.
