The German team won gold medals in the triathlon and mixed relay on Monday. The German team finished the race in 1 hour, 25 minutes and 39 seconds. Italy beat the United States to win the gold medal in the mixed team final of skeet shooting on Monday.
Italy was crowned the winner after the second team of Gabriele Rossetti and Diana Bacosi combined for 45 rebounds, just one ahead of the United States.
In third place is China, with 44 confirmed cases compared to 43 in India.
Women’s Singles
An Si-young defeated China’s Peng Jiaohe 2-0 in Monday’s final to become the first South Korean to win the women’s singles gold medal in badminton since 1996.
Indonesia’s Gregoria Mariska Tunjung won bronze without participating in qualifying.
The third was the result of Spain’s 2016 Rio Olympic champion Caroline withdrawing from the semi-finals due to a right knee injury.

China’s 26-year-old Zhou Jingyuan won gold on Monday in the gymnastics parallel bars event, defending her Olympic title.
With a near-perfect performance, Zou Shiming scored 16,200 points, ahead of Ukrainian player Ilya Kovtun (15,500 points) and Japanese player Nobuyuki Oka (15,300 points).

Gymnastics…Fixed beam
Japan’s Oka Shinosuke won beam gold at the Bercy Arena on Monday after winning both the team and individual events to claim his third gold medal of the 2024 Paris Olympics in gymnastics.
Oka, 20, who had previously won the bronze medal on the parallel bars, tied with Colombian athlete Barajas with 14.533 points, but won the gold medal because of his higher score in execution of the movements. Chinese athlete Zhang Boxing and Thai athlete Tak Ja Hong tied for the bronze medal.
Gymnastics…Balance beam
American legend Simone Biles went home empty-handed in the gymnastics balance beam competition after falling in the final round, with the gold medal going to Italian Alice D’Amato on Monday.
Biles was a prime candidate for her fourth gold medal in Paris and eighth in her storied career, but she paid the price for falling off the beam and finished fifth, while D’Amato finished ahead of the rest of the field with 14.366 points. China’s Gu Yaqin (14.100) and compatriot Manila Esposito (14.000) took silver and bronze, respectively.
Gymnastics… Floor Exercise American legend Simone Biles won a silver medal in the gymnastics floor exercise on Monday, ending her bid for the 2024 Paris Olympics, while Brazilian Rebecca Andrade won the gold.
Shortly after Biles fell off the balance beam in the final and left the balance beam competition empty-handed and finished fifth, Biles won silver in the floor routine, while her compatriot Jordan Chiles took bronze and Andrade won her second Olympic gold medal, having debuted on vault in Tokyo three years ago.
The Brazilian scored 14.166 points, Biles scored 14.133 points and Childs scored 13.766 points.

In the canoe slalom event, Australian athlete Noemi Fox won the gold medal, the silver medal was won by French athlete Angel Hague, and the bronze medal was won by British athlete Kimberly Woods.
Basketball three point shot
