Puerto Rican broadcaster Jorge Pabón Ocasio, better known as “Molusco”, revealed this Monday that his relationship with urban genre representative Janielys Maldonado, better known as “Elysanji”, has ended.
“Well, yeah, I’m lonely because to be honest, I’m lonely. Eli and I are not together anymore. It’s super cool, absolutely nothing happened. We started dating and we had a really great time. She’s a great woman, great person. “We decided to just stay friends,” Papon said.
“Honestly, when I put in the work, I put in the effort, and it takes time. We talked and decided the best thing to do was to remain friends,” he added.
The broadcaster confirmed his relationship with the artist last February. At the time, Papon stressed that although his divorce proceedings were finalized in December 2023, he had been separated from his ex-wife Claudia Morales for about a year.
The announcer said that the separation process with his ex-wife was complicated because the relationship lasted about 20 years, and he also expressed the hope that in the future they will be able to communicate cordially for the sake of their two children.
“At the moment, with the kids, there is nothing more than the necessary slight communication. I think this is what happens at the beginning of every breakup and hopefully to God sooner or later I will be able to communicate further and remain in a cordial relationship,” he said last month in a podcast released on his YouTube channel, Molusco TV, in September.
Last February, the communicator ended the nearly twenty years of uninterrupted broadcasting of the program “Molusco y los Reyes de la Punta” on La Mega 106.9 FM, owned by Spanish Broadcasting Corporation (SBS).
Pabón Ocasio’s colleagues Ali Warrington and Pamela Noa also left SBS after they failed to reach a contract agreement with management.
