Miss Vietnam Tourism contestants show off their beautiful faces in long coats

On the evening of August 3, the 2024 Miss Tourism Vietnam finals was held in Quang Ninh Province, where 40 contestants showcased their ao dai collections. Flower petals flying Designed by designer Dung Nguyen.

The collection is inspired by flowers fluttering in the wind, showcasing their vibrant colours to honour Vietnam’s traditional heritage values.

The collection is divided into 5 parts with various tones. In the first part, the contestant showcased a white aodai design inspired by the shy petals in the morning garden. The design mainly uses silk, brocade and lace materials, with the traditional aodai shape.

The second part is the “Flowers in the Sun” design, which focuses on a straight aodai in sweet pink. On the Van Phuc silk background, layers of bright colors are placed next to each other in a flexible way.

The designer wants to convey the message that every girl is a beautiful flower with different radiance.

The third part of the collection is the “Heavenly Flower” design, which is dominated by blue tones and is inspired by mountain flowers such as lilies, wallflowers and the blue of the sky.

Designers also incorporate the beauty of nature such as clouds, sky, mountains, etc. into shirt designs through colors, embroidery and handmade patterns.

The contestants also performed in the fourth part “Flowers on the Water” with camisole and four-piece shirts designed based on the beautiful scenery of Halong Bay, mainly developing the pink and purple of lotus and the green of Halong Mountain.

The layers of silk chiffon fabric create a soft and agile feeling for the beauty’s steps.

In the fifth part of the “Sunflower” series, the red Ao Dai design is introduced. The layers of carefully sewn fabric simulate the noble beauty of rose petals and peonies, while also expressing a beautiful aura.

Designer Dung Nguyen said he was pleased with the performance of the 40 contestants, the way they handled their costumes and their bravery on stage. He said he always wanted to preserve traditional culture through every collection.
