Minnesota Twins fans were understandably frustrated during the rain delay on Monday night, but it did create a very memorable moment for those in attendance.
As the storm rolled through the city and supporters sought shelter from the elements, one intrepid photographer stepped out and captured some magical sights.
The photo, which some have called “the greatest photo ever taken,” shows a rainbow appearing in the night sky over Minnesota as thunder rumbles.
One fan wrote, “This can’t be real,” while another added: “This is unbelievable bro.”
One baseball observer noted, “This has to be one of the most beautiful Major League Baseball photos ever taken,” while another said, “I’m not kidding when I say this may be one of the greatest photos ever taken.”

The photo was shared by the Minnesota Twins’ official X account and quickly garnered thousands of likes and retweets, with fans simply unable to believe their eyes.
Some were quick to point out that the team might have wanted to divert attention from the fact that they were trailing the Atlanta Braves 9-1 when the game was delayed.
So far this season, the Twins have a record of 72-58 and are expected to make the playoffs.
However, the team just lost two games in a row in the series against the Cardinals and Padres.
