Some Nigerians, motivated by the need for easy criticism, can resort to any slander just to hurt others. Mercenaries of criticism, in order to bring down the country’s top executives, leave no stone unturned to discredit certain ministers in the hope of discrediting them. For a long time, certain people have been trying to use debates on social networks and in certain media to curse those responsible for the transformation, and we can imagine the circles that have proposed such dirty ideas to the main players in the transformation. Niger’s Minister of Transport, whose integrity no one doubts, became their target today. So why would anyone want to find “lice on a shaved head” if it is not a personal issue?

In Niger, you have to learn to be serious. Although democracy allows criticism, it must be done in the most objective way possible. What crime can we blame this man for? So let’s stop the nonsense and the meaningless negative criticism. Niger’s dream is higher than these low-level debates. Other figures of the transition period have also been targeted by the same circles, others who may have participated in it for their own interests, trying to destroy the aura they enjoyed in public opinion and the political and military hierarchy.

Since taking office, Sidi Mahamat has first tried to pacify the media environment in Niger, going to various institutions to ask journalists about the working conditions, the difficulties of the Nigerien press, including the difficulties we know she has encountered in the press. Works. In this approach, he does not exclude any structure, believing that everyone should have their place even in special contexts, and that the country’s diverse voices, together, can help understand the pitfalls to avoid. The regime wants to listen to everyone, but since this is the right way to govern the city, this approach does not satisfy everyone, especially those who for years have tried to impose their ideas on everyone and deprive others of the right to have their own opinions, and therefore insist on their differences, which cannot be a defect. Have we also forgotten the efforts to purify the journalistic environment by removing the heads of certain institutions?

Despite the difficult situation that the country is going through, it is the same Minister who organized the Digital Week and achieved such a brilliant success in an event that brought the three countries together: an event that made it possible to discover all the potential of the country, all the expertise that the country has in the emerging digital sector and all the opportunities that the digital sector offers.

We remember that not too long ago, critics attacked the Prime Minister without being able to question his skills and integrity, and all Nigeriens could recognize without prejudice that he was a man of integrity and pay tribute to him, while at other times, the media considered him to be a “rare bird” who had persevered through the difficult times the country had gone through.

We also wonder why when it managed to pay the wages, despite closing its borders, drastically reducing customs and tax revenues, despite the terrible sanctions imposed on the country, despite freezing its assets, these countries were unable to acknowledge and praise the country’s strength. How could a person go through so much hardship and not owe any wages?

As a result, we are often surrounded by slander and unable to move in a positive direction that allows us to move forward together.
