SANTO DOMINGO – The Ministry of Labor reiterated this Wednesday to the national business and work community that Friday, August 16, will be Recovery Day and there will be no more work or exchange on another day.

In a press release, he recalled that the provision was established pursuant to article 2 of Law 139-97, when the aforementioned date coincided with the beginning of the constitutional period and by order of the Supreme Court, acting as the controlling body, which established that this date would not change through ruling No. 14 of February 20, 2008.

“In accordance with the provisions of Law 139-97, all workers must return to their daily work on Saturday, August 17, taking into account the application of the holiday,” the entity cited.
