The signing of the technical agreement was formalized by the Director of Planning and Finance, Hernâni Viterbo da Costa Soares, and the President of ICCCM, Nicy Bai, in the presence of the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Culture, José Honório, and Benjamine Leong, as the representative of ICCCM, and by department managers and technicians.

The overall objective of the agreement is to provide Timor-Leste with training opportunities in specialized technical fields through the Ministry itself, partly financed by ICCCM, in order to train Timorese human resources. In addition, the agreement also provides for cooperation in curriculum development, especially for the polytechnics that the Ministry plans to establish in Laotem, Manatuto and Covalima. 448537833_790178809964755_2178626180761323607_n
