Ministry of Culture launches citizen survey on Peruvian cinema

he The Ministry of Culture has begun a citizen survey on Peruvian cinema, with the goal of collecting direct information from citizens on their preferences and opinions on the films they consume, their themes and the way they view Peruvian cinema.

It is worth mentioning that The Minister of Culture, Leslie Urteaga, announced a review of the foundations of the Economic Stimulus for Culture (EEC) in order to democratize cinema incentives and avoid polarization.through a participatory process, aims to promote the development of the industry.

Conducting the survey is part of the engagement process and will be complemented with individual interviews and focus groups with other key actors in the cultural sector.

Likewise, a dialogue space will be created with the film industry unions to identify possible needs and difficulties that could be partially covered by the EEC.

Peruvian Movies

of S/136,928,887.80 finances 1,321 film, television and audiovisual cultural projects across the country from 2018 to 2023. Of these, 833 are from Lima and Callao, and 472 are from other parts of the country. and 16 from Peruvians abroad.

The economic stimulus policy has created thousands of direct and indirect jobs in the film industry and promoted economic and social development in various regions across the country.
