Tegucigalpa – The Minister of Strategic Planning, Ricardo Salgado, this Wednesday denounced the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) as being responsible for setting up the “El Aguacate” gang to distribute drugs.
“The CIA was the one who started drug trafficking in Honduras, the one who established the El Aguacate gang to sell drugs to the gringos and deliver weapons to the contras,” the minister declared.
Salgado referred to a statement by U.S. Ambassador Laura Dogu, who expressed surprise and disappointment that the Honduran Defense Minister and Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief had met with Venezuelan drug traffickers.
This refers to Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino, who is accused by the United States of having links to drug trafficking.
In this sense, Salgado noted, the United States cannot indict drug traffickers when they have their own cartels: the CIA and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
In this regard, he recalled that the CIA set up the “El Aguacate” gang in the suburbs of the city of Catacamas to sell drugs and then deliver weapons to the “Los Contras” group, which was funded by the United States, who said they were trying to overthrow the Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN) government in Nicaragua in the 1980s.
Salgado questioned, asking them not to talk about the cartels because they (the United States) are the ones who create and dismantle drug cartels around the world.
The Planning Minister said the US ambassador’s aim was to create tension and alter the peace and tranquility of the Honduran people.
He stressed that it was time for the ambassador to adopt an interventionist attitude and to intervene in matters that concerned only Hondurans.
He recalled that Dogu was the US ambassador to Nicaragua, where she wanted to launch a color revolution in 2018 and was declared persona non grata in the country for such actions.
Regarding Dogu’s accusations against Venezuela’s defense minister, Salgado said that only she and the US government called Vladimir Padrino a drug trafficker and that the cartel was fabricating it.
He noted that Dogu is promoting civil society groups that no one asked for, he appoints representatives and pays them to destabilize the country and tries to cause discontent and rebellion among the people through arguments of uncertainty.
He questioned that among their candidates there were no pretentious people like the pre-selected candidates. silver
