The Minister of State for Youth and Children Affairs, Balaam Barugahara, has pledged support to the family of late renowned journalist and former colleague, Tamale Mirundi.

Minister Balugala in a statement described Tamale Mirundi as a courageous and outspoken man.
He expressed his deepest sympathy to Milundi’s family, especially his elderly mother.
“Let us pray for his mother and family. She is too old and needs our support.,” Barugahara said.

He added that those who could not attend the funeral should still contribute by coordinating with the patriarch of the Milundi family.
Balugala also called for forgiveness for any grievances against Mirundi, saying,I ask everyone who was irritated by him to forgive him and let him rest in peace”
The late Tamale Mirundi was a close friend of Minister Barugahara.
Their relationship extends beyond the work of the Patriotic Union Ministry (PLU), with Mirundi appearing regularly on Barugala’s radio station Radio 4, where his political programmes enjoy a large audience.
