Damascus (SANA) – This afternoon, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faisal Mikdad spoke by phone with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Expatriates Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Badr Abdalati, to congratulate him on his new post.
The two ministers stressed the historical relations between the peoples of the two brotherly countries, the Syrian Arab Republic and the Arab Republic of Egypt, while underlining the importance of implementing the consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, President Bashar al-Assad and the leader of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, during their last telephone conversation.
On the other hand, the two ministers discussed developments in the region, stressing the importance of constant coordination and consultations between the two sides on various issues of common concern, which will contribute to strengthening joint Arab action, especially in light of the latest dangerous developments in our Arab region.
