Mikdad received a congratulatory letter from the Russian Foreign Minister to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia

Damascus (for you) – Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faisal Mikdad received a congratulatory message from Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on the 80th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Syria and Russia.

In his letter, Lavrov stressed that the strong relations between the two countries and their peoples have a long history and are based on mutual solidarity, friendship and respect, noting the rich experience accumulated in the continuous development of bilateral cooperation over the past decade.

Lavrov also stressed that in view of the numerous challenges facing the profound transformation of the entire system of international relations, Russia attaches great importance to effective foreign policy coordination with Syria on important global issues on the international, regional and bilateral agendas.

In his letter, Minister Lavrov stressed that he is confident that cooperation between Syria and Russia will continue to successfully strengthen for the benefit of the peoples of both countries and in the interests of peace and stability in the Middle East.
