Her father, Manuel López Toro. Manuel, 94, suffers from multiple health complications, which is why the couple decided to celebrate a civil wedding before the religious ceremony scheduled for 2025.

“I always felt I should have had the wedding earlier, and that was further complicated by the fact that he had a stroke. After the wedding, he was hospitalized with fluid in his lungs. I knew that for him at his age, it was a gift from God to continue to have his birthday,” Michelle said. She said that given her father’s fragility, she and her family strive to provide him with a high quality of life. “My father’s situation has been exhausting, but we do our best to provide him with a high quality of life. Michelle’s attitude towards life was key in her efforts to cope with the moment her father went through. He talked about how you have to take care of yourself in order to take care of yourself, so the issue of overall health is one that is taken very seriously. “It is totally a priority in my life because if I don’t have my health, my inner peace, my tranquility, I can’t help others and I can’t share the joy with my family. I have to be healthy in order to be there for others,” he said. He commented that his habits for happiness include eating healthy, exercising, seeking a quiet life, doing things that he is passionate about, taking care of his mental health, and surrounding himself with positive people.

As for how she takes care of her physical health, Michelle said that she is very responsible for getting regular medical checkups to prevent any signs of illness. He said that he goes for the recommended medical checkups every six months or every year, as appropriate. “I am faithful on this point. We are all at risk of getting cancer. This phenomenon knows no age, and now it is sweeping young people. So, it is always important to get checked because when you least expect it, things that you don’t expect will happen,” he advised.

Few people know that Michelle suffers from a chronic skin condition called atopic dermatitis. Commonly referred to as eczema, the condition develops in 80 percent of sufferers at a very young age, according to the National Eczema Association (NEA). This was the case with Michelle, who was diagnosed with the condition as an infant and has since had to manage her symptoms, which include unbearable itching, redness, scaling and rashes.

“I was born with the condition. I have always had hives and heat and cold affect me a lot. Stress and nasal allergies are also triggers,” he said. Atopic dermatitis manifests itself in different parts of the body, such as the scalp and in the folds of the wrists, elbows, knees, ankles, face and neck. Michel is particularly affected by the disease behind the knees and neck.

Unlike many patients who need injections, Michel has managed to manage the condition with topical medications and avoiding some irritating foods. “I have always had active atopic dermatitis. I always bathe in face creams, and working on television is something I have to take good care of myself. It doesn’t last forever, but there is no cure, and it doesn’t look good. Uneducated people confuse it with other diseases… When I didn’t understand the condition, it gave me a lot of mixed feelings,” he added, urging education about such skin diseases.

I have fulfilled this contract until now, when I started this program with Candy and John Paul in a completely new structure,” said Michelle, who made her debut in radio more than a decade ago while working as a special education teacher.

Aside from how difficult it is to wake up early, her role as a host requires her to stay up to date on the latest news topics. “It’s not about being on the fence all the time. When we talk about politics, crime, entertainment, we have to know what’s going on at the moment. People care about that and I want to be able to provide the right information,” he added.

In addition to the radio show, the afternoons are spent on the “I Know Everything” show of Wapa Televisión, a program he joined last March after the departure of Patricia Corcino.
