Dear BP,
Michael Pintard’s victory embodied the desperate choice of an irrelevant party, but his victory was quickly overshadowed by his direct actions.
Instead of proving his worth, he has resorted to a series of empty threats and promises, a familiar tactic that has previously alienated his party from Bahamian voters.
Stop, review and cancel are the only plans Pintard and his cohorts have for the Bahamas and they seem hell bent on stopping any PLP project regardless of its potential benefit to the Bahamian people. Their actions or inactions while in office are frustrating as they continue to put the blame on the PLP for project delays when the root cause is their callous and reckless behavior.
And, when you look at the people who attended the Pintards victory memorial service, you see a bunch of failed ministers, party workers and people who sold their mothers’ jewellery and engaged in the same extravagant behaviour for one more chance to control the public purse, who are rightly rejected and condemned.
They may claim Pintard is a smart guy, but his actions suggest otherwise. His lack of political experience is obvious, and he fails to recognize the fragility of his leadership. Whether he admits it or not, he is simply acting as a guard for the natural leader, Duane Sands. Why? Duane Sands seems to have accepted him as the leader, but he will never accept a leader who Sands believes is inferior to him in every way.
So enjoy yourself, Pintard; evil ones surround you.
Sincerely,
Michael J. Brown
