Meta cross-posts content to Threads, where posts from Instagram and Facebook can now be shared.
This Thursday, the technology company began implementing the cross-posting feature in all countries that support Threads, including Spain, after months of testing, although the feature is limited to texts and links.
Specifically, it’s an option that can be activated in the settings of the Instagram mobile app, which, TechCrunch reports, allows users to automatically share content they post on Instagram and Facebook in Threads.
The novelty is intended to boost Threads, the “microblogging” app that emerged from the fall of Twitter. It currently has 200 million monthly active users, but Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg believes they are “well on track to build what looks like it will be another major social app.”
