At the end of its 85th anniversary, the Mesropiya Armenian Catholic High School achieved a historic success in the official examination for the second baccalaureate degree in Lebanon, which marked the end of the 2023-2024 school year. The anniversary celebrations of the school brought new hope, and during this year, the school has achieved many achievements.
Of the 38 students who took the national exam, 37 passed. Of these, 13 passed with distinction: 6 received “very good” and 7 received “good”. Five students were among the top 10 in Mount Lebanon in their respective fields, with two of them taking first and second place. These two students also made it to the top 10 in Lebanon, ranking fourth and sixth respectively.
The success rate for life sciences and general sciences branches was 100%, and for literature and humanities it was 93.75%. The overall success rate was 97.40%.
Students who passed with distinction were: Jessica Bassil, Celina Vartivar, Vana Seferian, Mark Gulgulian, Catherine Torossian and George Marie (all “very distinguished”), Angelina Jertidian, Elie Abboud, Rita Issahaguian, Vanessa Manakian, Georges Geuzugutchukian, Raffi Aswad and Alexander Gorun Sermanoukian (all “distinction”).
In the field of literature and humanities in Mount Lebanon, Jessica Basil ranked first, Celina Wativa ranked second, Elie Abboud ranked eighth, and Angelina Jetidian and Rita Isahakian ranked tenth. Jessica and Celina ranked fourth and sixth, respectively, in the national ranking.
The management of Mesrobian High School is extremely pleased with the unprecedented success of the students in the second Baccalaureate examination and congratulates everyone and wishes them continued success, congratulates the parents of the students and highly appreciates the dedication and work of the school staff over the years to achieve this achievement.
