MediaCorp holds nine of the top ten radio stations in Singapore, with an 84.2% radio market share and 3.93 million listeners.

Also in the top 10 is CNA938, which broke into the top 10. Launched in 2019 as an additional platform to CNA’s award-winning news coverage, the station has a weekly reach of 255,000 people, up 18.1% since the last Nielsen Radio Survey, further ahead and reaching 3.3 times more people than its nearest competitor, Mediacorp said in a press release on July 15.

The findings are based on Nielsen’s latest radio survey, conducted from March to May, which tracked radio listenership through diary entries from 2,010 adults aged 15 and above. The results were weighted by age, gender and ethnicity to be representative of Singapore’s population.

MediaCorp achieved a record weekly radio reach of 3.93 million listeners, measured by total unique, non-duplicate radio listeners.

“88.1% of adults listen to the show weekly, with listening time climbing to nearly 10 hours per week,” the report said. “Meanwhile, engagement and follower numbers on social media platforms are at an all-time high, highlighting the enduring popularity of MediaCorp’s audio offerings on radio and beyond.”

On CNA938, MediaCorp added: “In further proof of its ability to attract and retain discerning viewers, the station performed even better driven by top viewers (3.6 hours of viewing per week) and PMEBs (Professional Managers Executives Business Owners) (3.5 hours of viewing per week), with an overall engagement rate of 2.9 hours.”

“Combined with CNA’s strong presence across television, digital and social media platforms, this success highlights Mediacorp’s strategic expertise in engaging audiences based on their needs and delivering precisely the right content that entertains, delights and informs.”
