On Tuesday, the Cochabamba City Council closed for the fourth time a clandestine bar operating in the morning light on Albany Avenue.
Ruddy Arancibia, the city government’s head of public activities, said the Chichería did not have a business license and did not follow the prescribed opening hours, which are usually from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. for these small shops.
Besides that, it is a “repeat offender” as it has been closed for the fourth time.
Arancibia reported: “We found several people consuming alcoholic beverages, all of whom were of legal age, and they were asked to leave the premises so that we could work, confiscate their belongings, and then close the premises.”
