(CNS): Police have launched an investigation into an armed robbery at a Georgetown restaurant early Wednesday morning. Around 4:00 a.m., police responded to a report of a robbery south of the intersection of East Main Street and Godfrey Nixon Road. A masked man allegedly entered the restaurant armed with a machete and jumped over the counter. He then took some cash from the cash register and fled on foot. Police said no one was injured in the incident.
The suspect has a dark complexion, a thin build, and was wearing black clothes and a mask.
