The 2024 Fiji Airways Drua Awards Gala held at the Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa dazzled the sporting spectators as outstanding players from both the men’s and women’s Drua teams were recognised.
This year’s awards ceremony celebrated the achievements of Rooster Fiji’s Drua women for the first time.
Vani Arei won the Women’s Player of the Year of the Rooster award while Iosefo Masi won the Fiji Airways Men’s Player of the Year award.
Peni Matawalu won the ANZ Personal Development Award and Sailosi Vukalokalo won the Sky Pacific Men’s Community Champion Award.
The Women’s Community Champion Award, sponsored by Punjas, was jointly won by Iva Sauira and Siteri Rasolea.
Fiji Drua Women’s team captains Karalaini Naisewa and Selestino Ravutaumada were the fan favourites, winning the VT Solutions and Jacks of Fiji fan favourite awards respectively.
The night also recognized the breakout talents of Atelaite Buna and Mesake Vocevoce, who received the TOTALEnergies and Pepsi Female and Male Rookie of the Year awards, respectively.
