BERLIN – During a routine check on the A6 highway, German Federal Police Inspectorate member Weidhaus uncovered a fraud using false documents and detained a married couple from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

That is, they first suspected the woman’s ID, which was said to be Croatian. However, after checking the photo, the police immediately realized that the woman in the photo was not the woman in the car.

The police then also suspected her husband’s identity and discovered that they both held forged Croatian documents.

A detailed search revealed that the Croatian identity evidence presented by the 27-year-old woman was reported stolen. They also found a Bosnian passport with her husband (47 years old) with several pages missing. After further investigation, the police managed to identify them. By the way, they used false documents, because the man was banned from entering the Schengen area and France allegedly had an arrest warrant for him.

They have been detained and will be reported for attempting to enter the country illegally and for using stolen documents.
