Mariah Carey’s mother and sister died on the same day

“My heart is broken, having lost my mother this past weekend. According to media reports, the cause of death of the famous singer’s mother and sister is still unclear. Patricia, 87, the ex-wife of Alfred Roy Carey, was an opera singer and voice specialist. Although the star inherited her vocal talent, their relationship was complicated, as written on the People magazine website. “Like many aspects of my life, my journey with my mother was full of contradictions and competing realities. Mariah had an equally complicated relationship with her older sister Alison, 63. She wrote in her memoir that it was “emotionally and psychologically safer for her not to have contact with her siblings” at the time, we read in People magazine.
