The National Institute of Meteorology (INAM) predicts that this Sunday (11th) very hot weather will occur, with maximum temperatures between 33 and 39 degrees Celsius in the regions of Matutuin, Namacha, Boane, Moamba, Magude, Manhiça, Marracuene and the cities of Maputo and Matola (Maputo province); in the regions of Massingil, Chókwe, Chonguene, Bilene, Limpopo, Mandlakazi, Chigubo, Chibuto, Guijá, Chongoene and the city of Xai-Xai (Gaza province); and in the regions of Funhalouro and Mabote (Inhambane province).
For Tete, Zambézia, Manica and Sofala provinces, INAM expects continued hot weather with generally clear skies; possible fog in the valleys; weak to moderate winds from northeast to east, with occasional gusty winds in coastal areas.
Clear skies are expected in Niassa, Cabo Delgado and Nampula provinces, with temporary clouds in the coastal areas of Cabo Delgado; heavy fog or local morning fog; east to northeast winds, light to moderate.
