Many forest areas will be off-limits on Wednesday due to the high risk of fire in the Bouches-du-Rhône, Var, Vaucluse, Gard and Hérault departments, where forest fires destroyed 350 hectares of land this weekend.
The measures, announced by the departments on Tuesday, were in light of weather conditions, particularly the strong winds expected in the Rhône Valley, with wind speeds of more than 60 kilometres per hour.
11 plots banned in Vaucluse
In the Hérault department, four plots will be completely off-limits and three others “strongly prohibited”.
