Nassau | Police now report more homicides. A 42-year-old man turned himself in to police after a 26-year-old man died in a stabbing incident on Sunday, July 21, 2024.
The original incident occurred on Thursday, July 18, 2024, on Moonshine Drive in Sunset Park.
According to preliminary information, the suspect and the victim had an argument on the basketball court, which resulted in the 42-year-old suspect stabbing the 26-year-old suspect multiple times in the upper and lower body with a knife.
The victim sought medical attention at the hospital, however, he died from his injuries while in hospital at around 9pm on Sunday, July 21, 2024.
Meanwhile, a man was shot and killed in Grand Bahama around 10 p.m. Sunday. Police responded to the incident at Yellow Jasmine Close, west of Pioneers Way. There they found the body of a man who had been shot multiple times. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
In another incident, a woman died when police responded to a stabbing at Carmichael Road and Palm Breeze around 2 a.m.
