A man was shot in the middle of an Eindhoven street on Sunday evening and has died. Police report the incident. Two suspects were arrested on Sunday evening. Their getaway car was found a short distance away. Police are still searching for other suspects.
The shooting took place in Rodkruhsland at around 7:30 p.m. The man was shot in the middle of the street and was seriously injured. After receiving the report, an air ambulance arrived at the scene. The man was taken to a hospital in Tilburg.
According to reports, several suspects fled in a car immediately after the shooting. The car was found about one kilometer away in the Yweinstraat. The suspects fled on foot. Two suspects were arrested and detained.
Sniffer dogs and police helicopters deployed
As of early evening, police were still searching for other suspects in the area. A police helicopter was used to search for them in the neighborhood. Sniffer dogs were also used. Police were unable to reveal how many suspects were being sought in total. “We cannot rule out the possibility of multiple arrests.”
Police shared descriptions of two suspects on Burgernet on Sunday night. They are looking for a man with a tan and a short beard wearing a blue Nike jacket and white striped pants.
The other suspect is described as a tanned man wearing a black hat and a black shirt with a print on the back.
