NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Police are questioning a 23-year-old male in connection with a shooting incident on Sunday, July 14, 2024, which left one (1) male dead and another male injured.
At approximately 2:30 am, police received a ShotSpotter alert reporting gunshots at a licensed establishment on Nassau Street. Upon arrival, police found three (3) males, aged 42, 28 and 23, suffering from gunshot wounds.
Initial reports indicate that the 23-year-old male was involved in an argument with two (2) other males on the premises, left, returned with a gun and opened fire on the premises; as a result, the 42-year-old male and the 28-year-old male were injured.
The victims were taken to hospital by private vehicle for treatment. The 42-year-old man suffered injuries to his lower body, while the 28-year-old man was shot multiple times; however, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arriving at the hospital.
