Man is taken to hospital by helicopter after falling body off Donegal coast

Rescue crews are again in action in south west Donegal today after a person suffered lower leg injuries after falling in Glenlo Bay.

Killybegs Coastguard were on duty at 3.45pm this afternoon alongside Donegal Mountain Rescue Team.

The injured were airlifted to the hospital by the 118th Rescue Team.

This is the fifth time Killybegs Coastguard has been deployed in the past nine days. Yesterday, volunteers took part in Seven-hour call Rescue a dog that fell from a cliff in the Glenlo Bay area.

The Coast Guard reminds the public that if an emergency occurs on land or at sea, please call 999 or 112 for Coast Guard assistance.
