The Norwegian team became Olympic champions in 2008 and 2012, and won the bronze medal two times in a row.
Earlier on Thursday, France beat Sweden to reach the final in a thriller that was not decided until overtime.
There was a huge roar from the French home fans. It was a warning of the witches’ cauldron that awaited in Saturday’s final.
