At the invitation of His Excellency Mr. Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China, Mr. Basilou Diomaye Diahar Fayé, President of the Republic of Senegal, will pay a state visit to the People’s Republic of China from September 3 to 4, 2024.
The visit is part of the strengthening of friendly and cooperative relations between Senegal and China and its elevation to a global strategic partnership. It will provide an opportunity for the two heads of state to discuss bilateral issues of common concern and define new prospects for cooperation in strategic areas between the two countries.
Brazilian President Basil Dimayet Diahar Faye will then attend as co-chair the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Summit scheduled to be held in Beijing from September 4 to 6, 2024. This summit is an important moment to assess the progress made within the framework of the African Union. Build a framework for China-Africa partnership and clarify the new direction of China-Africa cooperation.
