The Hong Kong Polytechnic UniversityDepartment of ComputingRecentlyHuawei Hong KongThe two sides will jointly establish an ICT Academy to cultivate innovative technology talents for Hong Kong. Based on the school’s professional settings and talent training needs, and in combination with Huawei’s professional certification standards and Huawei ICT Academy courses, they will jointly develop talent training plans in the fields of cloud computing, BroadCast Unitedligent computing, artificial BroadCast Unitedligence (AI), etc., promote industry-university cooperation in electronic computing and innovative technology, and promote the development of Hong Kong’s innovation and technology ecosystem.
The cooperation between the two parties includes the construction of an advanced AI data platform and the establishment of artificial BroadCast Unitedligence computing courses. The AI data platform will focus on core areas such as AI, HPC scenario computing power, RoCE network and high-performance storage technology, support PolyU’s research and teaching activities in the field of AI computing, and develop into one of the largest AI data platforms in Hong Kong local universities.
As for AI computing courses, the two parties will carry out in-depth cooperation in areas such as teacher empowerment and student practical innovation based on the 22 general course resource packages of Huawei Ascend computing technology, jointly promote the development of a diversified AI computing power ecosystem, and cultivate high-quality innovative scientific and technological talents.
