Emergency services received reports of smoke coming from a house in Villaveien in the Nygårdshøyden area.

Police operations manager Helge Blindheim said all residents would be checked.

Blindheim wrote at 18:39 that the fire should be out, but there was still a lot of smoke at the scene.

– There is a fire on the outer wall of a detached house. At 18:45, Håkon Myking of the BT 110 switchboard said that we have sent a fire truck to check it out.

According to 110 Vest at X 18.57, the fire department is removing some cladding for inspection.

– It’s very hot behind the panels on the third floor.

This is what the police mission chief, Gisle Antun, said.

– He said the fire department has conducted an investigation with heat-seeking cameras and we are interviewing people who live there.

No one has suspect status.

At 10 p.m., the police said they were filing a case.
