Richard Gad and Jessica Gunning nominated for acting roles in Baby Reindeer
The star of “Baby Reindeer” and “The Crown” is a nominee for this year’s Emmy Awards.
Scottish comedian Richard Gadd, creator of the controversial Netflix series Baby Reindeer, received three nominations for acting, writing and producing.
Jessica Gunning, who plays stalker Martha, was also nominated for an acting award, as were her co-stars Nava Mao (Teri) and Tom Goodman-Hill (Darien).
The series received 11 nominations in total. Shogun, a samurai epic set in Japan, led the pack with 25 nominations, while Bears set a record for a comedy show with 23 nominations.

Imelda Staunton nominated for Best Actress in a Drama Series
Imelda Staunton was nominated for best actress in a drama series for her role as Queen Elizabeth II in Netflix’s royal drama The Crown.
Jonathan Pryce (Prince Philip), Dominic West (Prince of Wales, Prince Charles), Elizabeth Debicki (Diana, Princess of Wales) and Lesley Manville (Princess Margaret) were also nominated.
Claire Foy, who played Elizabeth II in the first two series, was nominated for Best Guest Actress for her return in the final scene as the Queen reflects on her life.
Another former The Crown star, Olivia Colman, was nominated for another role: chef Terry in US restaurant drama The Bears.
Bears received 10 acting nominations in total, including for its leads Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri, as well as British guest star Will Poulter.

Other British actors nominated include Idris Elba for Taken, Gary Oldman and Jack Lowden for Slow Horse, Tom Holland for Feud, Jonathan Bailey for Fellow Travelers, Michaela Coel for Mr and Mrs Smith, Matt Berry for What We Do in the Shadows and Juno Temple for Fargo.
The murder mystery comedy Murder in the Building features a core cast that includes Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez, as well as Meryl Streep in its third season.
Additionally, Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon are in the running for roles in The Morning Show, while Jodie Foster and Robert Downey Jr. are other big names on the shortlist.
The Emmy Awards are the most prestigious awards in the American television industry.
The winners will be announced on September 15th.
