As 10 registration centres were still operational, people in the capital had to start waiting in queues for long hours at the registration centres.
Vietnam registration information shows that as of March 4, there are only 10/31 registration centers in Hanoi, and 19 routes are still in operation.
Previously, on March 3, another registration center was temporarily closed, the 29-30D registration center in Yen Nghia, Ha Dong.
As 10 registration centres were still operational, people in the capital had to start waiting in queues for long hours at the registration centres.
According to Vietnam Register, the registration congestion and overload in March 2023 is just as Vietnam Register had predicted before, people’s registration demand will rise again according to the inspection cycle, and there is a serious shortage of inspection personnel and a series of problems. The registration center has been closed.
In order to maintain the operation of the registration station under the Vietnam Register, which was facing the risk of suspending operations on the morning of March 4 due to lack of staff, the unit has made efforts to mobilize surveying personnel who have left their posts to come back to serve the people.
According to calculations by the Vietnam Registration Department, the capacity of each inspection line is about 60 vehicles/day. Therefore, with the current number of lines, Hanoi can only inspect 1,140 vehicles per day and 30,780 vehicles per month (excluding Sundays when the registration center is closed).
Meanwhile, the number of vehicles awaiting inspection in Hanoi this month is 75,682, which can only meet about 40% of people’s needs.
The Vietnam Chronicle went on to advise Hanoi residents to proactively take their vehicles to registration centers in neighboring provinces for inspection to avoid long waits and congestion in Hanoi.
In addition, people are advised to proactively maintain their vehicles before inspection, check and pay fines, which can help reduce the time to complete registration procedures and avoid having to pick up the vehicle if there is a problem. After the vehicle is repaired, it is necessary to queue up in advance.
Previously, the Ministry of Transport sent a letter to the Ministry of Interior, allowing the Vietnam Registration Bureau to sign labor contracts with subordinate units of the department until sufficient personnel are recruited in accordance with regulations to solve the difficulties when the problem is serious. At this stage, there is a shortage of human resources.
