Fashion designer-turned-lifestyle blogger Stephanie Conley-Buhre has built an impressive team of house renovations and has made her way through the luxury property market, but her latest deal is set to make her the best of the best after she sold her Bellevue Hill home for about $80 million.
The settlement will confirm the exact price, but at that level it would be about $50 million more than she paid in 2021, when doctor Louis Klein and his wife, Claire, sold it for $28.5 million.

The last time it was sold, the house had been on the market for six years, with a long list of agents trying to sell it. Three years later, in the current more bullish luxury home market, the house sold without marketing and after Conley-Buhre spared no expense in redesigning and renovating it.
The buyer’s agent, Simon Cohen of CohenHandler, declined to comment on the sale but is widely believed to have bought the home. A conditional on the title confirms the sale and reveals the buyer is expatriate Hannah Chapman. The home was sold by Ashley Bierman, director of Ray White Double Bay.
Agents say Cohen has shown Conley-Bull a new mansion in Bellevue Hill on behalf of a mystery “friend.” Budget: $40 million to $60 million.

Alcooringa was built in the Spanish mission style around 1929 by ranchers Mary and Hugh Taylor. It later served as the Tunisian Consulate until 1965, when property developer Maurice Moubarak bought it for £55,500. He sold it to the Kleins family in 1993 for $2.9 million.
In accepting Beautiful Home Earlier this year, Conley-Bull and her husband, venture capitalist Oscar Buell, described the house in the magazine as having been abandoned for nearly 40 years when they bought it.
