Bonaventure Mbaya, president of the Civic Integration Party, has decided to rejoin the UDR-Mwinda, the party founded in 1992 by André Milongo, of which he was first secretary. A bill formalizing the dynamics of reconciliation within political organizations affiliated with the opposition. The ceremony of this return took place on Saturday, July 10, at the Interparish Work Center (CIO), in the presence of Guy Romain Kinfoussia, president of the UDR-MWINDA.

In his speech, Bonaventure Mbaya presented the act as a sign of democracy: “For us, this is an event that should allow us to alleviate our long-standing desire for the restoration of democracy and change in the governance of the country, the despair of an uncertain future, the confusion of the horizon. This combination will allow each of us to raise our heads and resume in this great desert the democratic march that began with the transition in 1992, which will surely lead us to the promised land,” he declared.
Adding that he has been waiting for such a moment for a long time. Bonaventure Mbaya thanked Guy Romain Kinfouassia for the initiative and congratulated the organizers of the event, according to him, “There is no doubt that the restoration of the vision of our very beloved late great leader André Milongo, his role and mission in our country must be initiated.
For him, the merger or reorganization of the Civic Union with the UDR-Mwinda re-fulfills the aspirations of André Milongo and Bernard Kolelas to unite in the political life of the country… From today, “today, sympathizers of activist civic integration will be able to meet with sympathizers of the UDR-Mwinda to reactivate and restart this unifying dynamic that has already achieved its first reorganization with the creation of the UDH-YUKI”, said Bonaventure Mbaya.
And clarified: “Democracy and the future of our politics are at stake, and we must work together to end violence and disorder in the governance of our country.”
On the other hand, Romain Kinfoussia spoke about the collective integration of the former Civic Alliance members into UDR-Mwinda. “You will now become our comrades in UDR-Mwinda. With great pleasure I wish you a cordial and fraternal welcome among us. You will expand and strengthen our group to better face the challenges of tomorrow. The Union for Democracy and the Republic will now be your only party. You join a party registered in the opposition, whose ideology and political line are recognized by all, that is, social democracy. UDR-Mwinda is working to achieve peaceful coexistence, with good-BroadCast Unitedligence dialogue as a tool,” he recalled.
Your arrival, he continued, “will strengthen our ability to offer an alternative to the mainstream discourse.” Romain Kinfoussia recalled that the life of the party is governed by statutes and internal regulations, copies of which are given to new members. “I have every confidence in the sincerity of your commitment and your fidelity to the principles bequeathed by founding president André Milongo: honesty and humility, act transparently, demand a good job, respect what is said, respect the opinions of your neighbors, support and help women, mentor young people, care for the vulnerable. You will thus contribute to the party’s influence by consolidating the important basic structures in which you will develop. Therefore, I once again wish you a safe return home,” he concluded.
