In Latvia’s information technology (IT) industry, salary increases this year are almost half of what they were last year. Moreover, almost everyone’s salary is no longer increasing as much as before, according to a study conducted by salary research and management consulting company “Figure Baltic Advisory”.

Within this framework, average wages are also measured, which still stands out in the context of other industries, but also leads to a conclusion: you can earn more money in neighboring countries.

In a conversation with “Delfi Bizness”, Senior Consultant at “Figure Baltic Advisory”, Dace Tauriņa outlines which professional employees have the opportunity to receive higher salary subsidies and what awaits employees in the industry in the future.

Slowing growth

78 organizations participated in the study, providing data on 16,280 employees. Figure Baltic Advisory conducts this type of research every year and includes both companies in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) industry and internal IT structures of larger organizations.
