“We are ready to provide surveillance in business districts, shelters, gas stations and fuel vendors, and other emergency needs and response programs. While highway patrol officers and other areas will be assigned through intersections and intermittent traffic lights, in areas where they are needed,” the police chief said.
“The security plan was developed to ensure the safety and well-being of our citizens, as well as to protect essential services and ensure that supplies can arrive agilely and efficiently when distribution of supplies is initiated.”
This suggests that most agents will be on the street within 12 hours. Apart from, Uniformed personnel in administrative duties were deployed to intensify preventive patrols on various roads in Puerto Rico and coastal areas.
On the other hand, as part of the established plan, this Puerto Rico police will work with municipal police, emergency management and disaster management agencies, among others.
“We urge citizens to follow the advice of the authorities and to stay informed through official media. We ask for your cooperation and to be careful on the roads. My police will work around the clock to protect them and ensure those who need help get it, but everyone has a responsibility to contribute so that we can achieve these goals.Lopez Figueroa said.
