The leaders of the United Kingdom, France and Germany welcomed the joint statement by the leaders of Qatar, Egypt and the United States of America on the need to complete the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and release prisoners and detainees.
A joint statement issued by the three leaders and released by the British government today said: “We support the joint statement by His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, and His Highness Abdel Fattah el-Siikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, President of Egypt. -Sisi and US President Joe Biden called for an immediate resumption of negotiations, and we agree that “there can be no further delay”.
The joint statement continued: “We have worked with all parties to prevent an escalation of the situation and will spare no effort to de-escalate tensions and find a path to stability. The fighting must end now and all hostages must be released… and the people of Gaza need urgent and unrestricted aid delivery and distribution.”
The statement expressed deep concern over the escalation of tensions in the region and expressed its commitment to preventing the escalation of tensions and achieving regional stability.

A framework agreement has been reached, which is now on the table and all that is needed is to finalize the details of its implementation… As they indicated, they expressed their willingness to act as mediators, if necessary, to propose solutions to the remaining matters related to the implementation of the agreement in a manner that meets the expectations of the parties, noting that they called for the resumption of urgent negotiations on Thursday, August 15, in (Doha or Cairo) to fill all remaining gaps and immediately begin the implementation of the agreement.
