The Latvian Ministry of Defense announced that Latvia has received nearly 500 drones of various types from Latvian manufacturers, which will be shipped to Ukraine. At the same time, the Latvian government decided to hand over 30 second-hand police cars to the Ukrainian security services.
In July, Latvia announced that it would gradually send more than 2,500 drones worth 4 million euros to Ukraine. According to the ministry, the drones will be produced by seven Latvian companies.
Ukraine has been fending off a Russian invasion for more than two years and has relied heavily on Western support for military equipment.

More than a dozen coalition members, including Germany, have pledged to invest in producing the drones and shipping them to Ukraine along with their spare parts.
