Latin GRAMMY® Cultural Foundation Opens Application Period for 2024 Latin Music Research and Preservation Grant Program

Talented musicologists and educators will receive a total of $60,000 in funding for Latin music research and preservation, the first time PepsiCo Juntos Crecemos has sponsored

MIAMI–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation® Announced the opening of the application period for its project Latin Music Research and Preservation Grants 2024This is the second time the foundation has launched the program this year. This is the first time in the program’s ten-year history that it has received sponsorship. To celebrate the foundation’s tenth anniversary, PepsiCo We grow together The Latin GRAMMY Cultural Fund will increase the number of grants available from four to six and the grant amount from $5,000 to $10,000, for a total of $60,000 allocated to selected projects. The program provides grants to music institutions, nonprofit organizations, musicologists and researchers around the world who enrich and preserve the heritage of Latin music. Grants awarded by the Latin GRAMMY Cultural Fund fall into two categories:

  • Three (3) research grants, up to $10,000 eachwhich will fund projects focused on historical research, folklore, and anthropology of Latin music genres.
  • Three (3) Conservation Grants, up to $10,000 eachwhich will support projects aimed at archiving and preserving Latin music heritage.

Applications from qualified candidates will be evaluated by a committee of experts from Latin America, the Iberian Peninsula, and the U.S. Six applicants will receive grants with a maximum value of $10,000 each.
