Recently, people in Nang Kha Commune, Nahang District, Tuyen Quang Province discovered a spherical “strange object” falling from the sky in the shelterbelt of Na Trac Village (Nang Kha Commune). The object is made of metal, about 70×70 cm in diameter, hollow inside, with knobs at both ends and one end connected.
This is not the first time that people have seen this “strange object”. Previously, similar things happened in Tan My Commune (Chiem Hoa District, Tuyen Quang Province) and Tan Dong Commune (Tran Yen District, Yen Bai Province).
On November 29, an official from the Xuanguang Provincial Military Region said in an interview with reporters that so far, the authorities have not yet reached a specific conclusion on what the “strange object” is, but he confirmed that it is a “harmless object” that will not pose a danger to people.
“It’s nothing, it’s hollow inside, there are two holes and you can see from one side to the other. I’ve seen it once before in Champa. The authorities were involved but didn’t know what it was.

At present, this “foreign object” has been confiscated, recorded and transported to the warehouse for destruction by the Nahang District Military Region.
Previously, in 2016, when several “strange objects” of similar shapes were found in Tuyen Quang and Yen Bai provinces, the Ministry of National Defense stepped in to verify.
After preliminary verification, it was found that this was not an explosive, but most likely a high-pressure gas tank installed on the aircraft. It may have been destroyed in the atmosphere, but fell to the surface due to the effect of the earth’s gravity.
The “strange objects”, including a large sphere with Russian writing on it, were produced in the Russian Federation and are not used in Vietnam. It is not clear which country owns them.
Objects that do not contain radioactive materials, but fall to the ground at high speed, explode due to air waves, rather than bombs, mines or explosives. This phenomenon occurs frequently around the world and may threaten aviation safety or endanger the lives of people on the ground.
