Tazabek – As of April 1, 2024, there are 131,100 registered business entities (legal entities and individuals) engaged in tourism-related economic activities in the Kyrgyz Republic. This is indicated in the materials of the State Statistics Committee.
This figure includes enterprises producing and trading tourism goods and providing tourism and excursion services, restaurants, tourism accommodation facilities related to accommodation, leisure and entertainment (protected areas, national nature parks, mountaineering camps), various types of transportation enterprises, etc.
The main part of them is located in Bishkek – 25900. The subjects account for 19.8%, Osh region – 21600. Or 16.4%, Cui region – 19900. Or 15.1%, Osh – 16600. Or 12.6%, Issyk-Kul region – 12100. Or 9.2%, Batken region – 13600. Or 10.4%, Jalal-Abad region – 13400. Or 10.2%.
Of the total number of economic entities (legal entities and individuals), 16,700 businesses are registered in the field of leisure and entertainment services (hotel services, entertainment centers, restaurants, health centers), accounting for 12.8%. Most of these business entities are located in Bishkek – 6,600 entities (39.5%) and in resorts of the Issyk-Kul region – 2,200 entities (12.9%).
