Unscrupulous dealers are actively taking advantage of the situation.
Kyrgyzstan faces a severe shortage of cement. The country’s anti-monopoly agency has reported this.
According to the department, the country’s current daily cement production is as high as 4,000 tons, while the market demand is 5,000 tons or more. Unscrupulous dealers have taken steps to eliminate the shortage, and they sometimes increase prices unreasonably, exacerbating the market situation.
Let us explain that from October 1, the republic will temporarily ban the import of cement and other construction materials by road. The corresponding resolution was signed by the Prime Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Akhilbek Japarov.
Import bans have been introduced:
Portland cement;
High alumina cement;
slag cement;
Similar hydraulic cements;
Unpainted or painted;
Ready-made or in the form of clinker.
Supersulfated cement is an exception.
This restriction is valid for 6 months.
